Can't beat the location,the staff or the cleanliness. But it's the small well thought of things that matter and those were done well. Wine glasses, bottle opener,access to fresh milk in morning and real coffee,couldn't ask for more. Not to mention free parking.We enjoyed our stay so much, we've booked for 3 days later in the year. Brilliant
The welcome at Rooms at the Apple Pie was warm and friendly. Staff are very informative and let us know everything on arrival. The location is perfect, you are in the heart of Ambleside. Parking I feel is an issue, get there as early as possible to get in front of the digs otherwise you have to park about 5 min walk away. Our room was the attic (No7), not good for tall people. Low beams . The automatic velux window is pretty cool though, closes when it rains. Good facilities in the room. Perfect for a small getaway.
Great place to stay. The view from our room was probably the most iconic in town, the old house built over the river. Rates are for room only with 10% discounts in the cafe next door and Apple Pie Shop. Will definitely be going back.
Stayed in room 2 as it was dog friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, bathroom only small but perfectly fine for a couple of days. Location was ideal for local shops and restaurants and walks, small carpark at the front is handy. The only negative is the pillows are flat as a pancake, we woke up with stiff necks and it was hard to get comfortable through the night. Also there was nowhere to put toiletries in the shower so shampoo etc had to go on the floor, there were a few cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, and other residents decided to have a conversation outside the room early in the morning! a little annoying. But I would recommend the rooms if you want a couple of days in Ambleside, we love this part of the lakes and visit every year.
Great place to stay. I couldn't say that it's modern and that is its charm. It was clean and quiet and even has EV charging. Be aware, the charger supplier requires a minimum credit of £20 to charge but will only accept a minimum of £30 payment in the app. The charger supplier could not confirm whether any balance would be refunded because the people that could answer had "gone home" and I only wanted a top up. You can't blame the Apple Pie for that hence the high rating.
We stayed Here for the bank holiday weekend ,august and What a fab little find. It's very well situated in the heart of ambleside. We stayed at the apple loft in Room 34 which overlooks the House over the river and it had amazing views over the mountains and hills. It was peaceful,comfy and so handy.
Wonderful rooms, everything you could need and beautiful high quality bedding and fittings. Staff wonderful, helpful and friendly. So incredibly central. We will definitely be coming back, we love Ambleside and this accommodation is outstanding. Great breakfast nextdoor too. Love it.
Stayed in room 2, it was clean and comfortable. Everyone of the staff were so helpful. Situated within a stride away from great places to eat, breakfast at the apple pie next door, The Tap yard and the Flying fleece on the other side, all serve great food. So close to all the shops. We had a lovely stay, would definitely stay again for another break in Ambleside.
